At Vintage Replacements, we carefully inspect every item before it is listed. As our stock consists of pre-owned vintage and discontinued china, ceramics and glassware, most pieces will show some signs of age or previous use. Any wear or defects are always described in the individual listing and shown in the photographs.
We use the following condition grades:
The item has been previously owned but has been exceptionally well cared for.
Typical characteristics include:
The item is in sound, fully usable condition with normal signs of age or previous use.

Occasionally we offer factory seconds. A factory second is an item that left the manufacturer with a minor manufacturing imperfection, such as a small glaze blemish or decoration fault.
A factory second may still be in Excellent Used Condition or Good Used Condition. The condition grade reflects the item’s current physical condition, while “Factory Second” refers only to its original manufacturing quality. Where known, this will always be stated in the listing.
We aim to describe every item honestly and accurately. If an item has any notable wear, manufacturing blemishes or defects, these will be detailed in the description and illustrated in the photographs so you can buy with confidence.
If you have any questions about the condition of an item before purchasing, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
